Plot[]
The year is winding to a close. It was very productive. Many engines, though, were becoming very bored with their work. Stanley was delivering a load of scrap to the Smelters' Yards. 'Arry and Bert were taunting him. Stanley was told to go to the Shunting Yards, which he did. Stanley thought to himself. He wondered if he was important at all. Diesel rolled up, explaining how Sir Topham Hatt would scrap all steamies. Diesel explains how he has noticed everything go awry since the nationwide project began. He shows how something has went wrong in every project. After he leaves, Stanley realizes that it is true. Edward chuffed up. Almost immediately, he realizes that Diesel has spoken to Stanley. Edward tells him differently. He says that every occurance is part of the course of life, and that all the engines have learned from their mistakes. He also states that it could have happened for a reason. This cheers Stanley up.

Trivia[]
- This episode uses stock footage from every previous episode. Because the new version of The Old Warrior premiered after this (in fact, just before Munitions), the old version is used. As well, two shots from the original version of Snow Blind were used; one of Arthur in the snow and another of Arthur chuffing by Butch.
- Diesel was mentioned of having witnessed (or presumably hear about) all the accidents on the island. It could be denounced that he was in every episode, just not seen.
- Diesel has a very thick Spanish accent for this episode and this episode only. By Munitions, he gains a mild British accent.
